In all our school projects, WE DEMOLISHED CONCRETE FLOORING to bring life back to the playgrounds. These little forest islands will provide much needed habitat for biodiversity in the city and reconnect students with nature. Students will soon be hearing birds chirping and will observe all sorts of beneficial insects in their playground!.The students have planted trees and shrubs of over 20 different kinds of native species! They will get to pick figs, wild almonds and pear, and watch oak and pine trees grow in their playground..Regenerating destroyed playgrounds will• Allow children to heal from traumatic experience through nature play• Provide an educational platform for students about species native to Lebanon• Restore biodiversity in urban areas• Reinforce sense of community and care• Enhance education and creativity• Replace concrete with living soil• Cool down the playground area
