Byblos is a fragmented city that requires preservation of peace. The city faces environmental and economic challenges due lack of diversification and climate change. The city’s heritage is put to threat due to loss of customs, traditional businesses and craftsmanship.
Our role as strategic consultants was to develop a framework to identify the different threats challenging Byblos City, to understand the environmental limits and responsibilities, and to propose strategic best practice solutions in order to increase the resilience of the city. Our approach for resilience integrates sustainable urban development, ecosystem and resources management, cultural and natural landscape preservation, and human well-being.
